It's official. My blog is fading into pure oblivion. Left to spiders and cobwebs. I have witnessed people give up on their blogs for the simple reason that there's utterly no time to update! E.g. Sophia, Cheryl Tang [actually she gave up quite some time ago], Selena and soon to join them, yours truly. Today i was describing a rather odd metaphor to Cheryl on how the school pushes us to our limits. [holds up palm and points] 'We are like seeds, and everytime we try to grow,' [violently pokes palm] 'We get squished back into our pathetic state... school's a struggle of survival...'. I'm quite certain the school means to drive us completely insane and have us put in the mental asylum. Which is why i'm thankful for my haven. The place where i cease to be judged and where everything seems to be taken with a spoonful of sugar. My sanctum of peace.
Hurray for my weekly visits to church, for i love taking leisurely walks in the secret garden with my Friend, where i'm safe from the chaos perceived to be sane. Though my failure in coaxing Jing Yi and Selena to make a visitation at least has left me quite pensive but i guess my efforts hasn't exactly come to naught as i haven't tried my darndest.
Right now i'm trying to process my 'train of thoughts' as Mr Tan likes to put it, which reminds me, he reads Ali's blog, which quite literally spells disaster for the rest of us commonfolk... Oh forget that.
Well if i were to pen down what's going on my life, it would be quite a bore. Rather. I'd like to talk about stuff [the whole theme of blog which hasn't been running smoothly]. Yes i have had the opportunity of practicing several songs on my guitar today, thankfully. I was afraid i was getting to be a rust bucket. Anyway Avril has gone all Pop-ish on us! Begone are those days of blackliner and unflattering shirts and army khakis. Quite a refreshing change though i must say. She looks gorgeous in 'Girlfriend' though i don't quite approve of the fishnet stockings or the sexed up dancing. The song's catchy but definitely not her best work.
Or dare i mention Katharine Mcphee![i'm certain Cheryl's gonna protest] This American Idol runner-up has done wonders in this album but in my opinion i think her voice deserves more exposure than Over It. She has a brilliant voice mind you, and the song just didn't quite portray that, Simon Cowell would probably go "That was probably the most awful thing i've heard", well he wouldn't say that exactly that but probably on the lines of that, yes? I blasted the song full volume today, and as usual that sour boy, Edward, went 'Will you shut that up' clearly displaying his annoyance. Haha. His Loss.
By the way, i've been reading 'Little Women' and it's fantastic. Just plain fabulous. Love the storyline, love the style, love the immaculate use of vocabulary. Brilliant. I've got nothing but praises for it, for once i'm truly willing to try my patience by reading a book a second time over. And i honestly recommend it, for all who has a fair amount of time on their hands, especially for the girls.
The whole Japanese singing thing is getting to me. I apologise for that previous statement should it have offended anyone but my mum insisted on watching Music Station on Animax, and it's annoying me so. Oh what a ruckus.
xoxo Heather
